Inter-Pacific Bar Association twentieth annual conference
2-5 May 2010 Singapore
THE IPBA annual conference is the perfect forum for corporate lawyers in the Asia-Pacific region to meet, share knowledge, renew acquaintances, and generally have a good time together.
“Climate Change and Legal Practice” is the theme of this year’s conference, which will take place at the stunning new Marina Bay Sands in Singapore from 2 to 5 May. Climate Change through global warming is one of the most serious challenges the world will face in the twenty-first century. It will significantly change the way business is done and create new challenges and opportunities in many areas of legal practice.
One of the many highlights of the conference will be former Vice President Al Gore’s keynote address on “Thinking Green: Economic Strategy for the 21st Century”. This will be followed by a plenary session of prominent environmentalists, including Nobel Laureate Dr Rajendra K Pachauri, Chief Executive of TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute).
